Materials & Care
Materials
All of our jewellery is made from 100% recycled stainless steel or brass, crafted in an accredited factory in China. We've built a long-standing and trusted partnership with this factory, ensuring quality, transparency, and responsible production.
We deliver all jewellery in recycled cardboard packaging, also sourced through a long-standing and trusted partnership with a reputable supplier.
We’ve chosen not to include jewellery bags or boxes so that our packaging can be easily recycled after you receive it, helping us reduce waste and care for the environment together.
PVD Gold Plated Stainless Steel Styles
Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) is a high-quality coating process used to apply the Gold plating to the metal. We use this on our Stainless Steel styles so that we can offer the strongest most durable plated finish.
This style of plating makes the item water resistant, and more resistant to scratches, fading or tarnishing
Care instructions are still advisable to ensure longevity of each item.
Tips for Caring for your Gold Plated Stainless Steel Styles
- Wear with ease, these styles can be worn daily without worrying about tarnishing or fading.
- Avoid using strong cleaning agents, such as chlorine and bleach as these can weaken the plating bond over time.
- Put your jewellery on last so that you can avoid direct contact with perfumes & cosmetics, especially SPF creams.
- Store in a box or bag in a cool dry place
- To clean your jewellery daily- polish using a dry soft cloth, to remove any oils or residue
- For a deeper clean then use a mild soap solution and soft cloth
- Rotate jewellery to reduce wear and tear
Do not use a polishing agent, silver polishing cloth or abrasive liquids as these can weaken the plating bond over time.
Gold Plated Brass Styles
The gold plate we use is of the highest quality and can last for years. However, if worn continuously (especially rings) the gold plate can start to wear away after 6 months. In this instance, we will not be able to offer a refund as this is not a fault in the product, but rather the nature of wear and tear.
