1. Introduction

1.1. Welcome to McRae and Soden! The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to McRae and Soden. McRae and Soden operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”). McRae and Soden is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and purchase of products from McRae and Soden, Company No. 16228042, Unit 7a Waterside Business Park, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 1PE.
1.2. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site.

2. Ordering & Payment

2.1. Once you place an order, you'll receive an email confirmation. This does not constitute acceptance—acceptance occurs when payment clears and your order is dispatched.
2.2. We accept payments via Visa, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop. Payment information is processed by third-party providers, and we do not store full payment details ourselves.

3. Pricing & Discounts

3.1. Prices displayed include UK VAT (where applicable). We reserve the right to change prices at any time before your order is confirmed.
3.2. Discount codes cannot be combined unless stated. We do not offer price adjustments after purchase if the price reduces.

4. Shipping

4.1. We offer free standard UK shipping on orders over £100. We do not ship Internationally. 

5. Returns & Exchanges

5.1. Eligibility:

  • Items must be unused, undamaged, in original packaging, and returned within 14 days of purchase.

  • Earrings: Due to hygiene considerations, earrings are excluded from our return and refund policy.

  • Items that have not been cared for in line with our care instructions (see Materials & Care page)

5.2. Process:

  • Email info@mcraeandsoden.com for refund next steps

  • Customer must pay for Royal Mail Tracked 24 hour Delivery postage to return a no longer wanted item

  • Once received, refunds are processed within 14 working days, with exception of the delivery cost.

  • Returns of products sent after this date will not be accepted. 

5.3. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

6. Faulty Items & Warranty

6.1. Faulty items can be returned or exchanged for the same item or another item of the same value.  We'll provide return instructions and process refunds.  No store credit is given.

  • All Mcrae & Soden jewellery is covered by a 12 month guarantee from the date of purchase.

  • This warranty covers manufacturing faults, including issues with clasps, chains, settings, and plating defects that occur under normal wear.

6.4 What’s Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear,  including scratches, tarnishing, or fading that naturally occurs over time.
  • Damage caused by accident, misuse, or improper care (e.g., exposure to chemicals, perfumes, or impact). See care instructions on website and leaflet within parcel. 
  • Lost or stolen items. 
  • Any alterations or repairs made by a third party.

7. Loyalty Programme & Promotions

7.1. We may operate a loyalty programme with points redeemable on future orders.
7.2. McRae and Soden reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the programme at any time.
7.3. Prize draws, competitions, and discount offers are governed by specific promotions. We reserve the right to cancel, refuse, amend, or impose restrictions.

8. Liability & Indemnity

8.1. We will not be liable for indirect losses or delays caused by events beyond our control (e.g. strikes, natural disasters).
8.2. You agree to indemnify us and our agents against any loss or claim arising from your breach of these terms.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

9.1. These Terms are governed by English law.
9.2. Disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

10. Notices

All communications from you should be sent by email to info@mcraeandsoden.com Notices from us will be shown on this website.

11. General

11.1. If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will still apply.
11.2. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy, form the complete agreement. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by a director.
